We'd like for you to meet some more of our backyard pets.
When I say backyard, don't imagine one of those big rolling half-acre lawns. No, think postage stamp. The side yard is wide enough to hold an open drain. The back yard is big enough for some lawn chairs, if we had any.
But William is learning to find what is there, and make the best of it. We really do have some interesting things in our backyard. First of all, there is a wild green anole roaming out there. He is a real beauty, looking good on banana leaves.
In the side yard, above the drainage ditch, along the neighbor's fence, hang some vines with the prettiest little pink flowers. I like them, and so do the honey bees.
Can you believe it? All the way out here in the Pacific there are brave little honey bees, gathering pollen, and making honey.
How did they get here?
