Secret Prayer

I am contemplating this beautiful quote.  Think about what each word and sentence with me, as you read slowly.(Bold words my emphasis)      "We come to God by special invitation, and He waits to welcome us to His audience chamber. . . . We may be admitted into closest intimacy and communion with God .       Pray with humble hearts. Seek the Lord often in prayer. In the secret place , alone, the eye sees Jesus and the ear is opened to Jesus. You come forth from the secret place of prayer to abide under the shadow of the Almighty . Temptations come, but you press closer and still closer to the side of Jesus and place your hand in His hand . Then you gain a rich experience , resting in His love and rejoicing in His mercy . The worries and perplexities and cares are gone, and you rejoice in Jesus Christ. The soul is quick to hear the Father's voice, and you will commune with God. All criticism is banished, all judging of others has been expelled from the soul. . . .

My Job as Mother

My job as Mother of this home: - Educate my children to resist the influence of evil - Present my children with the highest ideal - With the help of God, develop in the human soul the likeness of the divine - Improve my own abilities, so I may rightly use the highest powers of my mind in the training of my children - Inquire at every step, "What has God spoken?" - Study God's word - Keep my eyes fixed on Christ - Be a true reflection of Jesus Ministry of Healing, p. 277-278.

The Cat Shall NOT Dwell with the Dog...Yet

These two little pets will sit by each other now, 6 months after the little dog joined our family, as long as they are both being petted, ... and looking in opposite directions.   Makes us think of the day when predator will lay down beside their former prey. The Bible says in Isaiah 11:6, 7, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox" Sounds nice.   (Wish that happened here.) Note:  Very shortly after this photo was taken, Cat realized she was sitting next to Dog, and voiced her opinion with a hiss and a swat.  She was out of there like greased lightening. Maybe next year ...
