Getting Started

We are still trying to get all of us well.  And we are still trying to adjust to our current time zone.  Each day is a little better.  I was able to stay awake until 8:30 last night, and sleep until 4:30 am.  But this morning I'm sneezing through tissues faster then everyone in the house. My husband went off to his first day of working on projects up at AWR.  He wasn't feeling perfect, but he must have been good enough, because he hasn't come home yet.  He is really excited to be helping AWR again, and asks that you pray that God will guide the projects and make them turn out in the best way possible. This morning my kids started homeschool again, which is good, because we need some things to do in the apartment every day.  I was able to get an order of gluten-free foods shipped here, so we get to eat more things then rice, though we do love rice.  Yesterday we ate potato squash curry, with Jasmine Rice.  Today for lunch we had brown rice...

La Conner, WA

Enjoy some views from around the cute little town of La Conner, Washington, not far from the daffodil fields. Trumpeter Swans can be found grazing in many of the fields in the area.  What a treat to get such a close view.  This bird is the heaviest native North American bird with a 70 inch wing span, and weighing between 17 and 28 pounds.  It was rare or even extinct in some areas in the early 1900's.  It was hunted heavily for game and feathers.

The First Meadow Lark Has Sung

I have to tell you, winter is leaving.  Spring is coming.  We heard the Meadowlark sing.  He was sitting up in the top of our leafless Maple Tree sining his heart out.  We could even see his yellow color and black bib. Would you like to hear one sing too?  I found a nice video here .  Only 14 seconds of your time.

Blue Heron in the Creek

The Great Blue Heron waits patiently in the creek.  Wait a minute!  I think there's something in here. Yep!  Got it.
