Guam Symphony Orchestra Free Concert for Children

We were able to go hear the Guam Symphony play a free concert for children on morning.  It was held in the ballroom of a fancy hotel.  There were four cellos, all of varying skill.  And a good number of violins.  The Asian girl on the far right is only 12 years old.  She has finished all of the Suzuki books and can play very well.  In the summer time she practices almost all day.  She was friendly and Araya had a good time meeting her after ward. The neat thing about this orchestra is that they take people of all skill levels.  The viola and one of the cellos were likely only in book 2.  The conductor is obviously doing a very good job with the group of available musicians, as there aren't that many in a place like Guam.

Now Is Born the Divine Christ Child

My precious daughter has been playing the violin for two years now.  She got to play a solo in the church Christmas program this weekend.  All her hard work is starting to show; she's even learning to play vibrato now.  Our hearts our happy.  Glory to God, and thanks for the beautiful gifts He bestows on His children. Something New

Something new and exciting is happening at our house.  I'll give you a hint!  There are two teachers and only one student, a camera woman, plus lots of noise.  We think it won't be long until there is four part  harmony.  We are really excited to think that all four member of the family will be able to play an musical instrument.
