Enjoy some views from around the cute little town of La Conner, Washington, not far from the daffodil fields.
Trumpeter Swans can be found grazing in many of the fields in the area. What a treat to get such a close view. This bird is the heaviest native North American bird with a 70 inch wing span, and weighing between 17 and 28 pounds. It was rare or even extinct in some areas in the early 1900's. It was hunted heavily for game and feathers.
Looks like a fun place to visit! The pics look like a peaceful setting. I could watch those trumpeter swans for hours!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to put that on my to-do list of places I need to visit. Such a cute place!
