On Wednesday, January 30, a few other homeschoolers and their families met us and too us to Ypao beach, which is a part of Tumon Bay, at a part, right along the hotel strip. The only problem is that it was a rainy, stormy day. After getting our picnic things to the beach, we realized the wind was so stiff that our haystacks would have blown straight off our plates. A search party located a shelter from the wind on the other side of the bathrooms, so we ate our picnic there, under a big fiscus tree. This big tree also sheltered us from rain showers. When lunch was put away. Some people attempted to enjoy the water, and others played in the sand, while some adults guarded all the stuff. William and his friend JJ stayed out a long time and reported that the fish were fantastic. We will have to go back on a calm day to see for ourselves. There was a strong current, but it was pulling to the right, toward the hotels and the other side of the bay, so it wasn't too dangerous, it was just a long walk back for the boys.

Sometimes those adventures in storms become the most memorable.
