Join us on a Sabbath afternoon walk to Shark's Pit/Blue Hole, on the north west side of Guam. The Krums were our tour guides, and the Froelichs were with us.
Right at the beginning of the beach walk, there are some rocks out in the water with interesting formations.
The sky was beautiful and the water full of color.
In some places you had to wade out in the water around rocky points, or climb over the jagged rocks. There is no way you would want to fall on this stuff.
Thankfully, no one did fall, and my first aid cream and band aids stayed tucked away in my pouch.
The pretty beaches called us on.
The kids searched for shells, and hermit crabs.
This guy seemed to be looking for a new shell too.
At the end of the walk the waves were bigger, and the sky more exciting. It rained for a little while, and I grabbed big leaves to umbrella my camera.
And for those who know my old stories of Guam, this is where we went when our rental car got broken into long ago on Guam. Only we didn't have time to walk into the jungle to see that fresh water pool this time.
I think this place is called sharks pit because the locals used to dump garbage here, attracting in the sharks. The pickings must be slim now, because there didn't seem to be any sharks nearby. All that's left is a beautiful beach, and an interesting name.
What lovely photos! Keep them coming! I'm glad you're doing so many interesting things and seeing so many places while you're there.
